We left North County about 45 minutes later than I’d hoped for. The rain had been falling all day, and I was starting to get worried we weren’t going to make it to downtown in time. As we rolled into 11th St, the traffic was surprisingly light, so I took the Ash St. exit and headed two blocks toward Symphony Hall. As expected, pretty much all free street parking around the venue was taken up, but a paid parking lot directly adjacent to the building had plenty of spaces, and given my wife was wearing some new, not-yet-broken-in high-heels, I opted to pay for the convenience this time around. Dave Koz has introduced his new label of Napa Valley wines, appropriately named “koz”. The line-up includes a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Sauvignon Blanc, and a “Red Alto” blend. They are moderately priced, and all proceeds are being donated to the Starlight Children’s Foundation, which helps seriously ill children and their families.
